About the CDQP
The objective of the Center for Distributed Quantum Processing is to develop the first nation-wide testbed for distributed quantum processing, utilizing expertise available at SBU and BNL. Our vision is to enable novel applications of distributed quantum processing at the frontiers of physics and engineering, spurring the first realization of a quantum internet of things.
Our Research Areas:
- Quantum transduction and frequency conversion across energy scales.
- Hybrid quantum networks linking disparate qubit platforms.
- Interconnected quantum computers, and quantum simulators.
- Connections between distributed quantum systems and new frontiers in science.
- Stack-inspired quantum communication technologies and protocols.
