STEP provides academic enrichment in science, mathematics, tutoring, supportive counseling, and laboratory experiencesto students in grades 9-12 .  Projects consist of academic year and summer components including:

  • A network of STEP clubs and advisors and participating schools
  • Core subject instruction/Regents exam preparation
  • Supervised practical training
  • Supervised research training
  • College admissions counseling
  • Standardized tests preparation
  • Career awareness/development activities
  • The Parent Advisory Council- a support and advocacy group
  • College-credit courses
  • Internships
  • Mentoring
