Student Assistant - Library

Description: General circulation desk duties, such as checking material in and out. Assist users with library resources and help maintain library material. Student assistants can expect to develop a variety of professional competencies that may be beneficial in future employment, such as customer service, time management, and research skills.

Dates of Employment: Spring & Fall semesters

Compensation: $16.50/hour
Hours: 15-24 hours a week, hours vary; primarily evening and weekend

Summer Housing Assistants  (numerous positions available- open to all student levels)

Description: SHAs support the StudentLife, Summer Housing residents and conference/summer guests to make sure that all guests’ housing needs are met. The SHA’s main duties are to prepare and organize various elements of housing for conference groups as well as provide quality customer service.

Similar responsibilities as Resident Assistant with focus on our summer rental and conference events. They also assist with laundry and striping/making beds in between groups.

No time off permitted during peak conference season (first three weeks of July). 

Dates of Employment: May 19, 2025 to August 24, 2025

Hours: Approximately 15-20 hours a week primarily evening and weekend hours

Requirements: Enrolled Student (Summer or Fall)

Compensation: A single room bed waiver for duration of contract dates & availability of some paid hourly work throughout the week ($16.50)

Resident Assistants (numerous positions available- open to al student levels)

Description: RAs are responsible for ensuring safe and welcoming conditions within the residence halls. RAs work to build inclusive communities through peer to peer interactions, programming, and bulletin boards

Dates of Employment:  August 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026

Hours: Approximately 10-15 hours a week primarily evening and weekend hours

Compensation: A single room bed waiver for duration of contract dates (no hourly pay)

Student Life Assistants (Graduate Students only) 

Contract Dates: June 1 or August 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026

SLAs provide administrative support to the Student Life team (Campus Life, Residential Life, Health & Wellness), development/supervision of student staff, participate in department and University functions, and contributing to the overall progress in establishing a campus environment conducive to student success 

Approximately 15-20 hours a week primarily business hours with some evening and weekend work

Some paid hourly work ($17) during business hours is incorporated into this position

Compensation is an apartment, lower level suite, or single bed waiver for duration of contract dates (dependent on availability)
