Loren Skeist

Loren Skeist, M.D., a native of New York, received his B.A. from Harvard, his M.D. from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, and his Psychiatric training at Mt. Sinai Hospital. In addition to private practice, Dr. Skeist served as Chief of Psychiatric Education (1978 – ’86) and Chief of Consultation--Liaison Psychiatry (1986 – ’93) at Lenox Hill Hospital.  In 1993, Dr. Skeist began working at Spellman^® High Voltage Electronics Corp., a Hauppauge based engineering firm with facilities in North America, Europe and Asia.  Spellman^® designs and manufactures advanced high voltage power supplies for high-tech system manufacturers servicing Medical, Industrial, Security, Communications, and Materials Science industries among others.  As President (1998) and CEO (2005), Dr. Skeist has focused on organizational development, international growth and strategic planning.

Loren lives in Bridgehampton and Manhattan with his wife, Dr. Marlene Marko, who continues to practice Psychiatry.  They love spending time with their three wonderful children and their families-with whom they share interests in theatre, tennis, politics and food-and are becoming increasingly addicted to gardening at their home in Bridgehampton.
