Agnes He's new book, Voices of Immigration (Cambridge Univ. Press, Jan. 2025)

Sthaneshwar Timalsina was conferred the title of Vidyājyotirdharaḥ, or the "Torchbearer of Knowledge," by the Chancellor of Indus University at a special convocation on the recommendation of the Center for Indic Studies, Indus University, Ahmedabad, India, on July 22, 2025, for his outstanding contributions to advancing and preserving Indian Knowledge Systems, especially in Tantra, Hindu Philosophy, and Consciousness Studies.
He was formally inaugurated as the Nimal K. and Augustina Mattoo Endowed Chair in Classical Indic Humanities:

- Congratuation to Prof. Greg Ruf for receiving CELT Excellence in Teaching Award
Two students were selected to participate in the 2025 Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program: Isabela Birbiglia (JNH Minor, LIN Major) as Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) and Ayumi Nakagawa (AAS-HAN double major, JNH minor) as Coordinator for International Relations (CIR). Congratulations!
Congratulations to Prof. Yi Wang for receiving SBU's Presidential Mini-Grant ($2,550) for the Departmental Initiatives for her proposal entitled, "Unpacking the Myths of Study Abroad: A student-led critical reflection series"!
