BA/MA Accelerated Program in Asian and Asian American Studies
We’re launching a “BA/MA accelerated program in Asian and Asian American Studies”
from Fall 2025! This program enables the students to complete both their undergraduate and graduate
degrees in five years. We encourage motivated, disciplined, goal-oriented students
to apply!!
Degree requirements
A total of 60 credits are required, including:
- 30 undergraduate credits required for the “BA in Asian and Asian American Studies”
- 30 graduate credits required for the “MA in Contemporary Asian and Asian American Studies”
*Nine graduate credits can be applied toward your undergraduate degree requirements.
For example, students may take up to three graduate courses during their junior and
senior years of their undergraduate study.

Admissions and Deadlines
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Apply by the end of the spring semester of your Sophomore year and be matriculated by your Junior year.
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Application materials:
- Three letters of recommendation from AAAS faculty
- Statement of purpose (500-1000 words)
