Women's Soccer Club
The Stony Brook Women’s Soccer Club (SBUWSC) serves to organize both recreational and competitive soccer within the campus community, to educate people about soccer, and to provide an environment for friendships and teambuilding to thrive. Through the recreational aspect of our club, we provide all Stony Brook students the opportunity to play soccer in a friendly environment by hosting weekly practices. These practices allow fellow soccer players the chance to develop bonds as teammates, as well as providing an exercise outlet for all participants.
For the women who want to go beyond this and play in a more competitive environment, this opportunity will be provided, as we play against other collegiate club teams throughout our season. Our competitive women's team practices multiple times a week, is coached by professionals, and will compete against other collegiate teams in weekend games, round robins, and tournaments as often as possible.
SBUWSC allows players to develop a sense of dedication, teamwork, and perseverance
while placing an emphasis on academics. For the athletes that want to continue their
soccer career but with a lesser time commitment than an NCAA team, this is the organization
for you!
