Ashley Staples, PhD
Ashley Staples is the Director for External Fellowships and adjunct professor in the Higher Education Administration program at Stony Brook University and is an affiliated researcher with the Higher Education and Student Affairs program at The Ohio State University. She was a residence life professional for over 10 years before transitioning to higher education research. For academic year 2021-22, Ashley was a Fulbright Scholar in the United Kingdom, which sparked her interest in supporting fellowship applicants. Her research interests lie in the area of religious, secular, and spiritual worldview diversity in higher education, how university students make sense of their campus environments, and the organizational structures supporting practices that lead to developmental outcome achievement. Ashley teaches Foundations of Higher Education and College Student Development in the HEA program.
