Regalia

All graduates must wear regalia to participate in the University or SPD ceremonies.
The hood colors are listed below. If you are graduating with a certificate, you should wear the hood of the highest degree you have earned.
You can place the order by March 14, 2025 and pick up your regalia at Shop Red West. Starting on March 15, you can purchase regalia and have it shipped to your home address. The ordering deadline to have it shipped is April 22, 2025 (shipping fees apply; see website for details). Please contact shopredwest@stonybrook.edu with any questions.
If you are in need and experiencing financial hardship that would prevent you from purchasing a cap and gown, the Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is collaborating with the Student Support Team to make Commencement regalia accessible. Any Advanced Graduate Certificate	Students should wear the hood of the highest degree earned (e.g., if you have a bachelor of arts, you will wear a white hood)
Post-Master's AGC in Educational Leadership/School District Business Leadership	Students should wear the hood of the highest degree earned (e.g., if you have a Master of Arts in Teaching, you will wear a light blue hood)
