Richard Beatty

Senior Associate Provost for Enrollment Management
Rich Beatty leads Stony Brook’s Division of Enrollment Management as Senior Associate Provost. He was appointed as Stony Brook University’s Associate Provost for Enrollment Management in September 2022 and Senior Associate Provost in January 2024, a role he held on an interim basis since September 2023. 

Beatty has previously served for eight years at Farmingdale State College in a number of roles including Acting Chief Enrollment Officer, Director of Enrollment Planning and Technology, and Operations Manager. He has also served as a counselor for first-years, transfers, adult learners, and veterans with Long Island University and Felician University.

Beatty earned his BA in History and Government from Lafayette College and MS in Higher Education Administration from Drexel University.

As Senior Associate Provost and Chief Enrollment Officer on campus, Beatty has overall responsibility for several departments including Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Enrollment Communications and Overall Enrollment Management.
