The Money Manager Academy is designed to prepare and inspire ambitious and achieving high-school students to be a successful manager of their finances.
The program equips participants with basic financial literacy and financial toolsets to manage various aspects of personal and business finances, including but not limited to budgeting, spending and savings, credit and debt, time value of money, investing and planning, insurance, business finance, entrepreneurial finance, etc.

What You Will Learn
This one-week program consists of 20 hours of lectures or interactions with a team of professors, practitioners, and graduate or undergraduate teaching assistants.
Day 1: Budgeting, spending, and savings
Day 2: Credit, debt, and insurance
Day 3: Business and entrepreneurial finance
Day 4: Financial goals and investing
Day 5: Financial planning
Each business day comprises lectures, experiential learning through hands-on projects, and occasional guest talks.

Course Instructors
Danling Jiang, PhD
Dr. Jiang is a Professor of Finance and Associate Dean for Programs at College of Business, Stony Brook University. She is also the Co-Director of the Center of Entrepreneurial Finance, the Trading and Investing Lab, and the Blockchain Business Lab. Her research involves studying stock and digital asset investments, corporate finance, and financial decision-making based on the psychology and behaviors of market participants.
Richard Chan, PhD
Dr. Chan is an Associate Professor of Management at College of Business, Stony Brook University. He is also the Director of Center of Entrepreneurial Finance. His research domain is broadly situated at the intersection of psychology, technology, and entrepreneurial finance.
Thomas Tallerico, MBA, MS
Mr. Tallerico is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at College of Business, Stony Brook University. He is a Senior Project Manager at Brookhaven National Labs for 37 years. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Stony Brook University since 2004, covering topics related to principles of finance, investment, risk management, and entrepreneurial finance.
Boyan Doytchinov, MBA, CFA, and CFP
Mr. Doytchinov is the Director of Financial Planning at Snyder Wealth Group, a financial service firm in Long Island. He specializes in financial planning including retirement, portfolio management, tax planning, insurance, estate planning, and cash flow management.
