LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to think scientifically and be familiar with the concepts, laws, and mathematical methods of the core areas of physics, and with their application to specific problems.

2. Upon completion of the degree, students should have developed laboratory skills in a variety of experiments and settings, extending to modern instrumentation and quantitative data analysis.

3. Upon completion of the degree, students should have developed oral and written communication skills for the presentation of scientific results.

4. Upon completion of the degree, students should, in the program with Honors, have gained in-depth knowledge of at least two additional areas of modern physics, and have gained experience in independent research.

5. Upon completion of the degree, students should, in the Specialization in Optics, have gained in-depth knowledge of electricity and magnetism, of atomic physics and lasers, and one additional elective, and have gained experience in optics-related independent research.
