LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to develop capacity for creative expression.

2. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to apply conventions of written expression focused on YA, Middle Grade, or Picture Book format.

3. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to demonstrate editing, revising, and proofreading skills.

4. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to connect to literary, cultural, ethical, and professional contexts within the YA, Middle Grade, and Picture Book formats.

5. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to complete one publishable YA or middle grade manuscript, or for chapter and picture book writers, three to five submission-ready manuscripts.
