About the Climate Change Tiger Teams Initiative
Building off the success of the previous two Tiger Team initiatives, The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of the Provost have launched a new Tiger Team initiative focused primarily on climate-related topics. The goal of this initiative is to prepare our research community to aggressively respond to increased federal funding opportunities by submitting competitive proposals when these new funding opportunities arise. Stony Brook University is ideally positioned to capitalize on these federal investments, thanks to its role with The New York Climate Exchange and its commitment to climate research, as well as its strengths in life and health sciences, physical and chemical sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities.
