2008 Gala Event
January 2008
The seventh annual Long Island Technology Hall of Fame (LITHF) will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Garden City Hotel.
Each of the individuals who will be inducted into the LITHF that evening, as well as those inducted in the past, have found some form of encouragement and support of their ideas which allowed them to move forward with their great discoveries. This is the purpose of the Long Island Technology Hall of Fame: to provide the inspiration and the means to support the activities involved in research and discovery that are not readily provided for elsewhere, while celebrating the accomplishments of those who have succeeded.
We are pleased to announce this year’s inductees are:
- Russell M. Artzt, CA
- Ira Grant Hedrick, Northrop Grumman Corporation
- David E. Hershberg, Globecomm Systems, Inc.
- Paul C. Lauterbur, 2003 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for MRI
The evening will also highlight the first LITHF Entrepreneur Award to be given to Bert Brodsky, a successful New York-based entrepreneur, community leader and philanthropist, and the “as yet to be announced” recipient(s) of the first LITHF Patent Awards.
By committing to being a sponsor, you are helping to raise funds for scholarships, outreach programs, and research initiatives that will ensure Long Island’s technology leadership continues.
