Subject: *ADVISORY* Emergency Drill 4/18
On Tuesday, April 18, from 7:00 am to noon the Division of Enterprise Risk Management will be partnering with the University Hospital for a full-scale emergency drill in the vicinity of the Staller Center, East Side Dining and University Hospital. There will be multiple emergency service departments from campus as well as local, county and state agencies participating, and will include role players, simulated victims, emergency response vehicles and a test of the campus outdoor siren.
4/18 CHANGES:
- From 8am to 11:00 am, Toll Road will be closed to routine vehicular traffic.
- From 7:50 am to 10:30 am, the Express East bus route will be altered. Customers that plan to stop at the Union or East Side Dining are encouraged to take the Express West route instead. An additional Express West bus will run during this time.
- Please note, the Life Sciences/HSC tunnel stop will remain operational on the Express East route. If you haven’t already, please download and utilize the “SBU Transit” app for timely updates.
While East Side Dining will remain open, we ask that you plan accordingly and attempt to avoid the above areas during this time.
All classes will be held as scheduled. For the duration of the drill, please access the Staller Center via the northwest entrance near Shop Red West.
This is only a drill. In the event of an actual emergency you will be notified via SB Alert.
Any questions or concerns should be directed to 631-632-9500.
