A Different Kind of Learning Experience

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for OLLI members to engage in a meaningful educational experience with Stony Brook University’s Occupational Therapy (OT) students. This initiative aims to foster collaboration, bidirectional learning, and the sharing of knowledge between our vibrant community of lifelong learners and the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Why This Matters

For OLLI Members:

  • Share your valuable life experiences and wisdom
  • Learn about occupational therapy and aging-related topics
  • Engage in intellectual and social activities
  • Contribute to the education of future healthcare professionals
  • Participate in health assessments and interactive activities

For OT Students:

  • Gain hands-on experience working with older adults
  • Learn from the lived experiences of OLLI members
  • Practice assessment and intervention skills
  • Develop intergenerational communication abilities
  • Apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios
