Elisabetta Scirocco, "Art and Catastrophes: Heritage and Natural Dangers, from Spanish Italy to the Present"
This lecture presents natural disasters as a possible key to an interdisciplinary approach to art history. We will examine the impact of natural disasters in Naples, the most densely populated city in 17th-century Europe and the capital of the Spanish viceroyalty in southern Italy.
