NATIONAL RETIREMENT SECURITY MONTH

National Retirement Security Month is an opportune time to consider personal retirement goals, and develop or fine-tune a plan that will make those goals a retirement reality.

Throughout the month, Fidelity, TIAA, Corebridge Financial (formerly known as AIG), VOYA and the NYS Deferred Compensation plan will offer a variety of resources to help educate and give you planning tools to assist you with both short and long-term financial planning.  

• Corebridge Financial (formerly known as AIG Retirement Services) has a NRSM web page with resources including a Retirement Security Challenge, live and on-demand educational webinars, digital tools, articles, calculators, and more.

• Fidelity will be hosting two live educational webinars scheduled for October 18th and 20^th.  Click to register.

• TIAA is offering retirement-saving-focused resources about savings strategies, the power of small contributions, a planning workbook, and how managed accounts can help; TIAA also offers retirement income-focused resources regarding distribution/income options and how to make it last.

• Voya is offering a flyer with simple steps to save, as well as an article about tax-advantaged workplace benefits and NRSM-themed live sessions during October.

• The New York State Deferred Compensation Plan (NYSDCP) web site offers various financial education resources, including calculators, an interactive retirement planner, and webinars for all life stages.
