New Program Offers Essential Skills for School Leaders

Launching Summer 2023

Stony Brook University's new professional development course for school leaders  examines all aspects of public-school human resource management, providing participants with the foundational skills needed to build strong HRM systems that enhance performance, create a positive work culture, increase instructional capacity and have a strong impact on student learning. 

Taught by subject matter experts in the fields of HR, labor relations, performance management, talent acquisition, leadership development and workplace culture, the course uses a variety of instructional approaches that anchor concepts. In each module,  participants will learn action-oriented strategies that relate directly to personal and professional development.

Participants who successfully complete the course will earn 30 CTLE hours.
