Programs
Through a suite of CEWIT-designed symposiums, programs, and conferences, CEWIT involves the academic and business communities in gaining skill sets in technology and business development, as well as reports on the latest industry and academic advancements in a number of tech-driven fields including health technologies and medical devices, big data, the internet of things, cybersecurity, smart energy, smart urban systems, technological applications, and technology entrepreneurship. Our programs encourage audiences to engage in CEWIT activities and in turn, help to educate them on trends in both wireless and information technologies and best business practices, while sustaining a beneficial partnership between our Center and our region.
CEWIT’s efforts within the Stony Brook University ecosystem involve constant interaction and exchange with our fellow Centers of Excellence, Centers for Advanced Technology, Business Incubators, and the Long Island MEP Center as well as with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Strategic Partnership for Industrial Resurgence (SPIR).
Collaboratively, our Centers develop joint programs that benefit our member entrepreneurs including Incubator CEO Roundtable and international B2B sessions and an annual Incubator Company Showcase event. These programs accelerate business development and entrepreneurship through peer education and create forums for critical networking with potential investors, industry partners, researchers, government officials, and other business services professionals. Our respective Center technical conferences further promote joint interdisciplinary research and shared projects.
