Stephen McKee, a PhD student at Stony Brook University, received his MA in Art History from Binghamton University, where he also received a BA in Art & Design with a concentration in painting. His research pertains to the ways in which postwar and contemporary artists utilize film and video as a means of historical and commemorative practice in order to confront and ameliorate collective and personal traumas, with an emphasis on decolonial and feminist film theories, moral perfectionism, and critical theory.
